Wills & Probate
Everyone should consider making a Will, no matter what the value of his or her Estate. Leaving a Will helps to ensure that your Estate goes to the people and organisations that you choose. A Will is a legal document and it is important to ensure that it is correctly drawn up and executed. We are happy to call on clients at home or in hospital on request. We are also able to assist the bereaved in obtaining a Grant of Probate and dealing with the administration of the Estate, including preparing Inheritance Tax returns. We can also advise on ways to reduce the liability to pay Inheritance Tax, such as varying the terms of an intended Will, or a post-death rearrangement, whereby a Will is effectively rewritten after death. In addition we provide advice and assistance in respect of Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications.

Business Matters
We understand the daily pressures placed on local businesses having provided support for many business clients over the years. Whether it be a personal liquor licence, a company formation or a contractual dispute, we are able to offer an accessible and cost effective service.
The key feature of this service is the fact that all fee earners have a working knowledge of the litigation system. This allows us to efficiently deal with matters when they become contested. Perhaps more importantly to our clients, it allows us to identify potential issues at an early stage which can often help avoid costly litigation.
We also represent businesses in prosecutions for regulatory breaches. |

Our solicitors have a wealth of experience of both conveyancing and litigation. As a consquence, we are willing and able to take on those difficult cases involving disputes over property ownership and use. |
